iExpense Help - Why different properties?

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

Hello everyone,

I am reviewing iExpense and I have trouble understanding why each view has a different property coming in.

For example:

ContentView: @State private var expenses: Expenses() AddView: var expenses: Expenses ExpenseSection: let expenses: [ExpenseItem]

Can't we just use var expenses: Expenses in the rest of the views besides ContentView?

I am just not understanding how we determine which property is declared and with what type.
